A Little About Me & My Approach

As both a mother and an early childhood educator, I'm passionate about preserving the wonder of childhood and creating meaningful learning experiences that honour each child's individual development.
 

Through my experience teaching in a Waldorf and Montessori-inspired kindergarten and forest school setting, and being a nanny on a homestead with 4 children, I've developed a deep appreciation for how children learn through exploration, movement, imitation, creativity, and everyday experiences.

My approach brings together elements multiple educational philosophies that I deeply value.
 

Waldorf education inspires me through its emphasis on rhythm, imaginative play, storytelling, creativity, seasonal living, and connection with the natural world.
 

Montessori education brings an appreciation for independence, hands-on discovery, practical life skills, and thoughtfully prepared environments that allow children to explore and learn at their own pace.

Forest school education, and so much more! I love bringing these approaches together in a way that feels balanced, flexible, and responsive to each child's needs.
 

I believe children don't need to be rushed into academics or constantly entertained to be learning. So much of their development happens naturally through play, helping in the kitchen, spending time outdoors, listening to stories, creating with their hands, and participating in everyday family life.
 

My intention is not to give you another set of expectations to meet, but to help you feel confident in understanding your child and supporting their learning in a way that works for your family.
